Chavah Benzion

Chavah Benzion, Midwife – Israel

Chavah has been a professional labor and birth doula since 1996 when she first trained through the Oregon School of Midwifery. She completed both her midwifery coursework and her apprenticeship simultaneously, as well as trained in massage therapy, anatomy and physiology, CPR, IV therapy, suturing, and neonatal resuscitation. In 2003 she earned her LM the license to practice midwifery in California by the Medical Board of California. Chavah began Loving Hands Midwifery, a private midwifery practice in San Diego, California in 2003. In 2006 Chavah immigrated to Israel with her husband and  In 2013, Chavah formed Women of Valor Maternity Care in order to assist her in her efforts to raise funds to help needy women in Israel receive these valuable maternity services. She started Ask a Midwife, an online forum for women in Israel to get personalized answers to their common questions, find needed support, and experience the Midwifery Model of Care firsthand.

Linda Blachman, MPH, MA, CPC is a certified professional life coach and certified imagery guide in private practice. Her business Choose Life! Jessica Cremin – Connecticut

Mikelle has worked with pregnant and birthing women for over twenty years. She started as a prenatal massage therapist and doula and continued on her journey becoming a Nurse Midwife in Israel, where she lived for 18 years. Mikelle is also a dancer and has taught Prenatal Bellydance to pregnant women, couples, birth professionals and dance instructors for over 10 years. Since returning to her home town of Berkeley in 2015, Mikelle has worked as a labor and delivery Nurse at Alta Bates. She has two boys that were born in Israel by the hands of Midwives. Nechama Langer-Levin

A ketuba artist and scribe, Nechama Langer-Levin also teaches healthy eating and lifestyle skills guided by Jewish values while she completes her studies in Marriage and Family Therapy specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy.  Nechama studied art at SF Art Institute, Fashion Institute and Technology, and Michlelet Emunah in Jerusalem. She studied ‘Sofrut’ Hebrew scribal art at Pardes and privately with Rae Eckman and Daniel Dahan.

Audra Lehman M.D.

Audra Lehman M.D. has fifteen years of experience as a full spectrum family doctor, delivering babies and caring for them as they grow, treating adults both in and out of the hospital setting, and supporting patients at the end of life. Daphna Ross, a Board Certified Specialist in Women’s Health and Pelvic Physical therapy, has been practicing as a physical therapist for over 15 years. Chaya has been a doula since 2005, and bolsters her doula’ing by studying homebirth midwifery with local mentors. Chaya’s main focus is guiding women on relaxation during birth in order to facilitate the easiest, quickest births, all the while trusting in the mother’s instincts as the central, pivotal, and overall best guiding force. Yulia has been teaching Yoga for 20 years, She is married with three kids under 10.  During her first pregnancy she discovered Prenatal Yoga, and with her second pregnancy got certified two weeks before giving birth.  Yulia has had beautiful birth experiences and was grateful to have a Doula by her side.  After having her third baby, she was inspired to be a Labor and Birth Doula, and is now certified and attending births.
